We are a leading organization in the agrochemical manufacturing industry, dedicated to delivering innovative and effective crop protection solutions. We're seeking a results-driven Area Manager to oversee and expand our regional operations in Tamil Nadu.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Commercial Performance
- Drive sales growth and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets
- Monitor and analyze sales performance across distributors and retail points
- Develop and execute commercial strategies tailored to regional needs
2. Inventory Management & Stock Distribution
- Ensure timely stock availability and distribution across the assigned region
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for efficient supply chain management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels at distributors and retail outlets
3. Business Management & Development
- Identify market opportunities and expand business in untapped areas
- Strengthen relationships with dealers, distributors, and retailers
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis
4. Operational Standards & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and reporting systems
- Monitor credit control and dealer performance
- Handle customer grievances and ensure resolution
5. People Management
- Lead and manage field sales representatives and channel partners
- Train and mentor field staff on products, selling techniques, and compliance
- Drive team motivation, discipline, and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate degree (preferably in Agriculture, Science, or Business). MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in sales and commercial management in agrochemical/agriculture input/related industries.
- Strong knowledge of the Tamil Nadu agri market, rural distribution networks, and seasonal demand patterns.
