The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building strong relationships with farmers, retailers, and distributors, and providing product demonstrations and agronomic support. The role requires regular field visits, market intelligence gathering, and coordination with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth in the assigned territory.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Officer to promote and sell our micronutrient products to farmers, retailers, and distributors. The role involves field-level sales, farmer education, product demonstrations, and channel development. The candidate should have good knowledge of crop nutrition and a strong network in the assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for micronutrient products.

  • Promote and demonstrate products to farmers, agri-input retailers, and co-operatives.

  • Expand the dealer/distributor network in the assigned area.

  • Ensure product availability and visibility at retail points.

Farmer Engagement & Promotion

  • Organize farmer meetings, field demos, and training sessions to educate on proper use of micronutrients.

  • Provide basic agronomic guidance on nutrient management.

  • Collect testimonials and feedback from satisfied users for promotion.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends.

  • Collect and report real-time feedback from the field to management.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain daily visit reports and sales data.

  • Coordinate with the supply chain team for timely delivery of products.

  • Follow up on payments and ensure account settlements.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agri-Business or related field.

  • Good knowledge of plant nutrition and micronutrient application.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Field-oriented, self-motivated, and target-driven.

  • Familiar with local cropping patterns and regional languages.

  • Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.


Preferred Candidates:

  • Experience in micronutrients, fertilizers, or crop protection product sales.

  • Candidates from the same geography will be preferred.

  • Freshers with strong agri background and passion for rural sales can also apply.
