Position : Sales Officer

Reporting To : Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales ManagerPreferred Industry Experience :Candidates must have experience in the Agriculture Input Industry only, specifically in one or more of the following: Fertilizers/Pesticides/Bio-Stimulants/Specialty Plant Nutrition/Crop Protection Products

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Drive primary and secondary sales through effective territory planning and execution.
Increase market penetration by identifying new business opportunities.
Expand product reach within the assigned territory.
Channel Development
Identify and appoint new distributors and dealers in potential markets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners.
Monitor dealer performance and provide continuous business support.
Ensure product availability across the assigned territory.
Collections
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from distributors and dealers.
Monitor credit limits and coordinate with finance for payment reconciliation.
Farmer Engagement & Technical Support
Visit farmers regularly and provide technical guidance on product usage.
Recommend suitable crop solutions based on crop stage and field conditions.
Conduct farmer meetings and technical awareness programs.
Marketing Activities
Plan and execute product demonstrations, field days, crop seminars, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate with the marketing team for branding and promotional activities.
Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches.
Reporting
Submit Daily Call Reports (DCR), Weekly Reports, Monthly Sales Reports, and Tour Plans.
Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, dealer visits, and farmer interactions.
Analyze territory performance and recommend strategies for business improvement.
Qualification
B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc. Agriculture
Diploma in Agriculture (preferred)
MBA (Agri-Business/Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Experience
2–8 years of experience in agricultural input sales.
Experience in fertilizers, pesticides, bio-stimulants, or crop protection products is mandatory.

Technical knowledge of crops and crop protection products.
Ability to build relationships with farmers and channel partners.

Collection management.
Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Candidate Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Valid two-wheeler driving license.
Own two-wheeler preferred.
Ability to work independently and achieve business targets.
